Tuxas home pageksmsdialog provides a simple graphical front end to gsmsendsms, a utility to use the GSM Short Message Service. It is particularly useful in combination with KDE Kontact Addressbook.
The KDE Kontact application must be configured to know about ksmsdialog. To do this, first configure gsmsendsms, then open "Configure Addressbook -> general -> Scripts -> Phone" and enter a command like this: /usr/bin/ksmsdialog -g "-d /dev/rfcomm0" %N
All phone numbers in Kontact should be in the ITU E.123 format: "+" "country-code" "city-code" "number". Example: "+49 123 123 1234".
